Dress Code (K-8)
The purpose of the Glenview New Church School Dress Code (Spirit Wear) is to promote an appearance that is neat and orderly. Clothes must be appropriately sized; neither too baggy or too tight.
Tops
Students must wear either a red GNCS polo shirt or a light blue or white short sleeve or long sleeve polo shirt, oxford shirt, blouse or turtleneck on any day of the week. PLEASE NOTE: We no longer allow students to wear the red GNCS T-Shirt. It is only acceptable for PE classes in grades 5-8.
Each student will receive a complimentary short sleeve GNCS Polo Shirt. Additional GNCS Polo Shirts will be available for purchase in the school office for $10. These shirts will be required on most field trips.
To order long sleeve red tops with the GNCS emblem, we have a setup with Land's End. The Preferred School Number to identify GNCS for Land's End is 900130949, or you can look it up on their web site. Please note that the GNCS emblem must be placed on the red tops, only.

Bottoms
Students are required to wear navy shorts, long pants (with a black belt), skirts, skorts or jumper dresses, with navy or black socks for boys, and navy or black tights or socks for girls.
Shoes, Jackets and Accessories
Students are required to wear black shoes with low heels (no colored laces or designs). Each student will be loaned a GNCS navy jacket for the school year that they can keep at the school, or purchase red GNCS jackets or fleece sweatshirts, available at the school office.
Hair accessories, scarves and jewelry may be worn as long as they do not clash with the colors being worn, and are not distracting or inappropriate.

P. E. Dress Code (K-2)
Students are required to keep a pair of sneakers at school for P. E.

Students are required to wear the Red GNCS T-Shirt (available at the school office) or white t-shirt, black shorts or sweatpants, white socks and sneakers.
