Come worship with us during this annual event which focuses on personal, spiritual growth. This year's Journey theme is Living Courageously, and it’s based on the powerful story of Elijah. As the theme unfolds, you will discover, and you will have the opportunity to practice, a number of key components to courageous living. This six-week program spans seven Sundays, and you're welcome to join us at any time.
Here's how the program works:
Each week of the program begins with a Sunday worship service and message from one of our pastors on the topic for that week (for a list of topics, please see below). At the beginning of the program you will receive a beautifully crafted workbook of daily readings spanning all six weeks (seven Sundays). The workbook includes daily lessons that relate to the theme, along with readings from the Bible, the theological writings of Emanuel Swedenborg, and other sources from around the world. The workbook also includes questions for reflection and discussion. Cost of the workbook is $20 dollars. In addition to each Sunday message, you are welcome to attend a small group of your choosing for further discussion and sharing around that week's topic. Each small group will meet at a set time during the week, and there are a variety of meeting times and venues that are available to choose from. You do not have to attend a small group in order to attend the Sunday worship services. For more information, or to register for a small group, please contact Mark Pendleton 847.724.0057, ext. 31. We hope to see you for this year's theme, Living Courageously.
