Governance

The Glenview New Church consists of a local Pastor and a Board of Directors. The Pastor is appointed to the local congregation by the Bishop of the New Church. The Pastor hires his support staff, serves as the spiritual leader of the local congregation, and is Chairman ex-officio of the Board. The Board consists of lay members of the Glenview New Church congregation and fulfills the ongoing responsibilities of establishing the budget, setting strategic plans for the church and schools, nominating Board members for approval by the local congregation, leadership of various committees and commissions, and hiring the Principal of schools. The Principal, in turn, is responsible for staffing the various programs and maintaining the academic excellence of the institution. Parents are welcome to address the Board of Trustees with concerns and to volunteer to serve on committees and commissions.
