GNCS Event: Outdoor Education Day

Way back in the fall many of you supported the Silver Bells Fundraiser (Market Day) and I am writing today to inform you that we just spent a large part of that money on our recent trip to Covenant Harbor Bible Camp in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The staff there organized age appropriate activities for all children in kindergarten through eighth grades including learning about insects, playing a variety of cooperative games, and participated in many team-building activities. Highlights I heard from the various classes were: a huge rope swing, archery practicing, low ropes course, and for the upper grades a 40-foot climbing wall followed by a zip line experience which Rebekah and I also took part in! Your support of the school through various fundraiser is certainly appreciated by all of the students.
